D20 Intervention: The Rescue by Reynolds Jones. What a bunch you are -- every one of you some sort of criminal - a thief, a heretic, a murderer, a scofflaw. OK, that may not quite measure up - but anyway. Still, you aren't about to be put to death, instead you are seated in a room in the royal palace of Canberry - waiting to be briefed by some member of the Archducal Council on a mission. A mission only folk like you can accomplish. Better do it, otherwise you never know what will happen if you don't - besides, there is talk of a reward. This event was originally run at Anonycon 2009. Tables of 4 to 6. Old Style RPGA scoring. The Rule Set being used is d20. This event is heavy on role-playing.

Intervention: The Glorious Light by Reynolds Jones. As Aphonion struggles toward a new dawn -- shuddering as it completes the absorbing of the refugees from the Confederacy of the South Kingdoms on continent Drucien and the East Shore on continent Khamista, and shaking as it grimly regains lost territory and combats the Taint and the servants of Shadow on all three continents; the servants of Light are the largest of the players in the ongoing combat. Light, unlike Darkness, is not unified however. The temple of Glor'diadel: The Lord of Light encompasses the largest group of followers on the planet, and is the preeminent religious force overall; however, Sytry: Ruler of Golden Purity also has his followers. Far, far smaller than the temple of Glor'diadel, the temple of Sytry is still world-spanning, and full of faith -- faith that some might say goes the extra mile, and others might say goes too far. Now, on southern Khamista, in the interest of purification, an army of Sytry's followers, led by members of His most dedicated order of Paladins, the Knights of Truth, have taken a small, unaligned kingdom by force. The Kingdom -- Lar Mena - was a nation of gnomes, halflings, and prosaic humans, now it is occupied, with its most prominent citizens and leaders taken by force to Holy Cortose - Sytry's holy city - for trial and possible execution. You are a member of a diplomatic task group, sent by the temple of Glor'diadel and other members of the Ecumenical Council of Faiths to observe the trials, and make certain that the prisoners are treated with dignity and accorded their sapient rights. You have been directed to attempt to rescue them, if the offenses against them seem too egregious and the charges appear to be false. Here in Holy Cortose, your airship tied at berth outside the city, you are alone - and your mission is desperate. Tables of 4 to 6. Old Style RPGA scoring. The Rule Set being used is d20. This event is heavy on role-playing.
